Good morning,

933 million US dollars. That's the size of a Series A investment round announced last week by Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology.

Now I've heard of a few massive early stage investments in the past, but nearly $1 billion is insane. Quite possible the largest ever (if you know of one larger, please respond and share). Granted, it does appear that most of the money is coming from the Chinese government... So does it really count as an investment round when it's essentially a state-owned operation?

They're reportedly using the money to build a low-Earth orbit satellite constellation for internet connectivity. LEO megaconstellations, enter player 3...

It's a rapidly changing world out there so let's get right to it. Here’s what happened last week and why it matters.

T-MINUS INTERVIEWS
